Very Practical Book on how to Act in front of the camera. Its filled with everything an Actor must know when he comes the first time on a Movie set. The informations in this Book a huge help. I loved it, and it helped me to understand more the filmset, the camera settings, script..... great Book!!
Ich habe als professioneller Schauspieler schon einige Bücher zu diesem Thema gelesen. Doch kein Buch hat sich mit der Thematik so präzise und umfangreich ausgedrückt wie dieses. Ich bin vollends begeistert. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Dieses Buch hat mich mehr über Fernseh-Schauspielerei gelehrt, als der angeblich so tolle Camera-Acting Workshop meiner Schauspielschule!Er geht auf die Unterschiede zwischen Theaterbühne und Filmset ein - wobei man zwar auch merkt, dass er nicht viel von Bühnenschauspielern vor der Kamera hält, was von mehreren Regisseuren und Camera Acting Dozenten bestätigt wird. Allerdings ist es möglich beide Eigenarten zu lernen. Er geht auf die Rollenvorbereitung ein, aber auch auf die Maschinerie des Films und die Audition-situation. Wer nur ein einziges Buch über die Schauspielerei vor der Kamera lesen möchte - bitte sehr!(PS: es lohnt sich dieses Buch mehrmals zu lesen)
This is a great book for all aspiring actors. There are sections about acting, working on the role, tools for actors, the machinery of the film industry and infos about starting your career, aswel as lots of excercises to improve all sorts of acting skills.However, I think its best to use this with other books, such as ones explaining the different acting techniques (e.g. sanford meisner on acting).
Ein wirklich tolles Buch, das man mehrmals lesen kann und immerwieder dazu lernt! Es geht auf die Welt und die Aufgaben des Filmschauspielers ein und beschreibt die Unterschiede zwischen Theater und Filmschauspiel. Ein Muss für jeden Schauspieler!

It tells you a great deal on things that you need to know. it is the most brilliant book that i am reading that teaches u about acting for the camera.
